The rules, in plain words.

The short version

• Your footage and your videos are yours.
• Only film people who are happy to be filmed, and never put someone else's face or voice in a video without their say-so.
• No intimate, hateful or illegal content.
• Three videos are free. After that you pay for a plan you can cancel at any time.
• Wispcut's videos are made with AI. Look before you post.
• Break the rules and your account can be closed.

Who this is between

"Wispcut" is the app and this website, run by Wispcut. "You" are the person with the account. Using Wispcut means you agree to these terms. If you add people to your account, they agree to them too.

Your account

• One person per sign-in. Keep the codes we email you private, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
• You are responsible for what is done with your account.
• You need to be at least 13. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian needs to agree to these terms for you.

Your content

Everything you upload and every video Wispcut makes from it is yours. You give Wispcut permission to store, copy, cut, transcribe and process it in order to make your videos and run the service, and for nothing else.

You promise you have the right to everything you upload: the footage, the clips, the photos, and any music or sound. The people in your footage have agreed to be filmed.

What is not allowed

• Putting someone else's face or voice into a video without their consent.
• Intimate, sexual or nude imagery of anyone.
• Anything illegal, hateful or harassing, or anything that targets a person.
• Footage, photos or music you do not have the right to use.
• Using a clip from the shared library anywhere but inside a video Wispcut makes.
• Trying to break into Wispcut or into someone else's account.

Made with AI

Wispcut plans and cuts your video with AI. It is good, and it can still mishear a word, cut in the wrong place or write a caption you would not have written. Check every video before you post it. What you post is your responsibility.

The shared library

The shared library is optional. Share only clips you filmed yourself, with no faces, no names and no stock footage. Other members can use them inside their Wispcut videos, and you can use theirs the same way.

Every clip is checked before it goes in. We can remove any clip at any time, and you can unshare yours at any time. Report anything that worries you and we will answer within two days. The thank-you for sharing (a free month for every ten clips accepted) is something we can change or end.

Free trial and paying

• Your first three videos are free, changes included, with no card. One recording is one video, even when it becomes several.
• After that you pick a plan from the Pricing page: $5 a video, or a monthly plan with a set number of videos and extra ones at $3 each. Videos bought one at a time do not expire.
• In the Wispcut app you pay through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms, and Apple or Google handles any refund. At wispcut.com you pay through Stripe. Wispcut never sees your card number.
• Cancel at any time, in the place you bought. A monthly plan runs to the end of the month you have paid for, and you keep everything you have made.
• Prices can change. You will hear about it at least 30 days before a change affects you.
• If a video goes wrong, tell us. We will put it right or credit it.

Ending

• You can leave at any time. Tap Delete my account on your Account page and your account and everything in it is deleted. Can't sign in? Write to hello@wispcut.com from the email on your account.
• We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us.
• If Wispcut ever has to close, you will get at least 30 days to download your videos.

What Wispcut promises, and what it doesn't

We work to keep Wispcut running and your videos safe. We do not promise it is never down or never wrong, and Wispcut is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, Wispcut is not liable for lost sales, lost followers or other indirect losses, and what Wispcut owes you for any problem is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before it.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. For anything that matters, you will hear about it in the app before it takes effect. Carrying on with Wispcut after that means you agree.

Which law applies

These terms follow the laws of the United States and the State of Mississippi.
